Each week: one job your business can automate this week, free, in under an hour. This week it's chasing late payers, because almost every owner I speak to has a list of them and nobody who enjoys sending the emails.
This week's automation in 40 seconds
The short version: chase today with the free reminder writer, then let a free Make scenario send the reminders every week so nobody has to remember on Monday.
Do it today, in 10 seconds
Export your aged receivables from Xero or QuickBooks and drop the file into the free Overdue Invoice Reminder Writer. You get a ready-to-send reminder for every late customer, friendly, firm or final depending on how late they are, with all their invoices in one email. Your file never leaves your browser.
The free Overdue Invoice Reminder Writer at work: drop in your aged receivables and it writes the right reminder for every late customer. Click the animation to try it with your own file.
Make it automatic
Doing it by hand every Monday works until the Monday you forget. A free Make scenario can check Xero every morning, email each late customer at 7, 14 and 30 days past due, and never chase the same invoice twice. The step-by-step setup is here: Chase overdue Xero invoices automatically. Most small businesses run it on Make's free plan.
One question
What is the one job in your business you would most like to never do by hand again? Reply and tell me. The most common answers become the next automations in this series.
