In the HubSpot vs Pipedrive decision, Pipedrive is the better fit for a 3 to 30 person team of sellers who want email sync, automations and follow-up sequences at one predictable price: Growth is US$39 per seat per month billed annually. HubSpot is the better fit when marketing and sales must share one contact list, or when you want to start free, but its US$7 Starter price is a new-customer promotion, so budget year two at the US$20 list price. For five reps: US$2,340 a year on Pipedrive Growth, or US$420 in year one and US$1,200 in year two on HubSpot Starter, which has no sequences.

Quick verdict: which CRM fits which team?
Pipedrive Growth: best for 3 to 30 sellers who want email sync, 50 automations and 5 sequences from US$39 a seat.
HubSpot Sales Hub Starter: best for small teams putting marketing and sales on one database, with a cheap first year.
HubSpot Sales Hub Professional: best for 10 to 30 reps who need sequences, forecasting and HubSpot's marketing tools.
Pipedrive Premium: best for more automation on a budget: 150 automations, 25 sequences and LeadBooster at US$59 a seat.
monday CRM: best for companies already running delivery work on monday.com, from 3 seats.
Attio: best for small teams wanting a flexible data model, free for 3 seats.
HubSpot Free: best for one or two people leaving a spreadsheet.
HubSpot vs Pipedrive: what is the real difference?
HubSpot is a marketing, sales and service platform built on one shared CRM; Pipedrive is a sales pipeline CRM that does one job and charges per seat.
HubSpot, the US customer platform, sells Sales Hub, Marketing Hub and other hubs on a shared database it calls Smart CRM. Starter is sold in core seats; Professional in sales seats, which unlock the full Professional features. View-only seats are free. Pipedrive, a sales CRM built around deals moving through stages, sells four plans plus add-ons and charges for every seat, assigned or not.
The difference shows in the middle tier. Pipedrive gives sellers email sync, automations and sequences together at Growth. HubSpot's sequences, forecasting and custom reports wait for Professional, at four and a half times Starter's list price.
How much do HubSpot and Pipedrive cost in 2026?
Pipedrive costs US$14 to US$79 per seat per month billed annually; HubSpot Sales Hub runs from free to US$150 per seat, with required onboarding fees from Professional.
HubSpot Sales Hub
Best for: teams where marketing and sales work from one contact list.
Price from: free for up to 2 users. Starter lists at US$20 per seat per month; a limited-time promotion for new customers shows US$7 paid annually upfront or US$10 billed monthly. Professional is US$90 per seat per month paid annually, or US$100 paid monthly on an annual commitment, plus a required one-off US$1,500 onboarding fee. Enterprise starts at US$150 with US$3,500 onboarding.
Strengths: the strongest marketing tools here, a real free plan, unlimited email open tracking from Starter.
Limits: Starter has no sequences, forecasting or custom report builder, and restricted workflows. WhatsApp needs Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise.
Singapore notes: shown in US dollars from Singapore; tax extra.
Pipedrive
Best for: 3 to 30 sellers who run their day from the pipeline.
Price from: Lite US$14, Growth US$39, Premium US$59, Ultimate US$79 per seat per month billed annually; billed monthly they are US$24, US$49, US$79 and US$99. 14-day trial, no free plan.
Strengths: unlimited pipelines on every plan, no contact limit, and email sync, automations and sequences from Growth.
Limits: Lite has no email sync and no automations. LeadBooster (chatbot, live chat, web forms, Prospector) is an add-on on Lite and Growth from US$32.50 a month per company, included from Premium. Campaigns (email marketing) is a paid add-on on every plan.
Singapore notes: your location sets the billing currency, so check the checkout price.
How do the plans compare feature by feature?
HubSpot Starter costs less than Pipedrive Growth but gives a seller less; for sequences and forecasting, compare HubSpot Professional with Pipedrive Premium.
Pipeline and deals
HubSpot: 1 pipeline on Free, 15 on Starter, 100 on Professional, counted across deals, tickets and other objects.
Pipedrive: unlimited pipelines. Active leads plus deals are capped at 2,500 per seat on Lite, 5,000 on Growth, 15,000 on Premium, 20,000 on Ultimate (300,000 per company at most); archived items do not count.
Automation limits by plan
HubSpot: Starter up to 50 workflows with restricted triggers and actions; Professional 300 fully customisable workflows. Sequences start at Professional, with up to 500 email sends per user per day.
Pipedrive: none on Lite; 50 automations on Growth, 150 on Premium, 250 on Ultimate, with top-ups of 50. Sequences: 5 on Growth, 25 on Premium, 50 on Ultimate.
Email sync and tracking
HubSpot: Free allows 200 open notifications a month; Starter and above are unlimited, with click tracking (on Professional it needs a sales seat).
Pipedrive: email sync with open and link tracking from Growth: 1 mailbox per user on Growth, 3 on Premium, 5 on Ultimate, and a shared team inbox from Premium.
Reporting
HubSpot: 10 dashboards on Free, 30 on Starter, 75 on Professional, 50 reports each. Custom reports and forecasting start at Professional.
Pipedrive: Insights reports per user: 15 on Lite, 50 on Growth, 250 on Premium, 500 on Ultimate.
Data limits: contacts and custom fields
HubSpot: Free holds 1,000 contacts and 10 custom properties in total; paid plans up to 15 million contacts and 1,000 custom properties per object.
Pipedrive: no contact limit; custom fields per company: 30 on Lite, 100 on Growth, 300 on Premium, 500 on Ultimate.
Marketing: HubSpot's clear strength
HubSpot is a marketing platform first: even the free tools send 2,000 marketing emails a month with HubSpot branding. Marketing Hub Starter is US$20 a seat with 1,000 marketing contacts; Marketing Hub Professional, where nurture workflows and WhatsApp live, starts at US$890 a month with 3 core seats plus US$3,000 onboarding. Pipedrive's Campaigns and LeadBooster add-ons cover newsletters and lead capture, not scoring and nurture.
What does a 5-rep sales team pay over two years?
Five reps cost US$2,340 a year on Pipedrive Growth, and on HubSpot US$420 in year one on Starter's promotion or US$6,900 on Professional.
An illustration, not a quote: annual billing, list prices on 6 October 2026, US dollars before tax, at about S$1.28 to the US dollar.
HubSpot Starter (promotion): 5 × US$7 × 12 = US$420, about S$537.60. Year two at list: 5 × US$20 × 12 = US$1,200, about S$1,536.
Pipedrive Growth: 5 × US$39 × 12 = US$2,340, about S$2,995.20, the same in year two at today's price. With LeadBooster from US$32.50 × 12 = US$390, it is US$2,730.
Pipedrive Premium: 5 × US$59 × 12 = US$3,540 a year, about S$4,531.20, LeadBooster included.
HubSpot Professional: 5 × US$90 × 12 = US$5,400 plus US$1,500 onboarding = US$6,900, about S$8,832. Year two: US$5,400, about S$6,912.
If your reps need sequences, the real comparison is Pipedrive Growth (US$2,340) against HubSpot Professional (US$6,900): US$4,560 apart in year one. If they do not, HubSpot Starter stays cheaper in year two too (US$1,200 against US$2,340). At 30 reps, Pipedrive Growth is 30 × US$39 × 12 = US$14,040 a year; HubSpot Professional is 30 × US$90 × 12 = US$32,400 plus US$1,500, so US$33,900 in year one.
Who should NOT pick HubSpot?
Skip HubSpot if you need sequences without funding Professional, or sell mainly on WhatsApp.
Budget teams that need sequences: Starter to Professional is US$7 to US$90 a seat plus US$1,500.
WhatsApp-led sellers on Sales Hub alone: the WhatsApp inbox needs Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional.
Anyone budgeting on the promotion: HubSpot labels US$7 a limited-time new-customer discount.
Non-US QuickBooks users wanting automatic invoices: HubSpot's QuickBooks workflow actions need a Professional hub and are US-only.
Who should NOT pick Pipedrive?
Skip Pipedrive if your leads come mainly from marketing, or you hoped to save on Lite.
Marketing-led companies: you will buy add-ons and still lack HubSpot-grade nurture and scoring.
Lite buyers: no email sync and no automations, most of the reason to buy a sales CRM.
Teams with occasional users: every seat is charged; there is no free viewer seat.
Xero users wanting a vendor-built link: Pipedrive documents its own QuickBooks Online invoicing integration; for Xero, its Marketplace lists third-party apps such as Cloudify's.
If quotes, stock and invoices must live with the leads, neither fits. I implement Odoo, so weigh that view; the options are in CRM in Singapore: the best CRM software for SMEs.
HubSpot vs monday CRM: how much does monday CRM cost?
monday CRM costs US$12, US$17 or US$28 per seat per month billed yearly for Basic, Standard and Pro (US$18, US$25, US$41 monthly), and plans start from 3 users.
monday CRM, the sales product of the work-management platform monday.com, has a 14-day trial but no free plan. Basic holds 1,000 active contacts and deals; Standard 10,000 with 250 custom automations a month; Pro 100,000 with 25,000 automations a month, mass emails and sequences. Five reps on Standard: 5 × US$17 × 12 = US$1,020, about S$1,305.60.
monday wins when your delivery team already works on monday.com boards. HubSpot wins on marketing, a free plan and capacity: monday Standard caps active contacts and deals at 10,000.
HubSpot vs Attio: which suits a small, data-heavy team?
Attio suits a small team that wants to shape its own data and start free with 3 seats; HubSpot suits a team that needs marketing in the same tool.
Attio, a CRM built around flexible records and email sync, is free for up to 3 seats, 50,000 records and 200 emails a month. Plus is US$35 per user per month billed annually (US$44 monthly), up to 10 seats and 250,000 records. Pro is US$79 (US$99 monthly) with unlimited seats, call intelligence and sequences. Five reps on Plus: 5 × US$35 × 12 = US$2,100, about S$2,688.
Choose Attio if your relationships do not fit a contact-company-deal shape, but an eleventh seller moves you to Pro. Choose HubSpot if marketing emails, forms and ads must feed the same records.
Is there a free CRM for small business that is good enough?
Yes, for one to three people: HubSpot Free, Attio Free and Zoho CRM's free edition all work, while Pipedrive and monday CRM offer only 14-day trials.
HubSpot Free: 2 users, 1,000 contacts, 1 pipeline, 10 custom properties, a record timeline covering the past 30 days.
Attio Free: 3 seats, 50,000 records, 200 emails a month.
Zoho CRM Free: 3 users, with leads, deals, workflows and reports.
What is the cheapest CRM for small business?
In year one, HubSpot Starter at its US$7 promotion. On list prices, monday Basic at US$12 a seat (3-seat minimum, so US$432 a year) and Pipedrive Lite at US$14, but neither has automations. For a working sales team, the cheapest plans I would actually use are HubSpot Starter and Pipedrive Growth.
How do HubSpot and Pipedrive connect to Xero, QuickBooks and WhatsApp?
Both connect to Xero and QuickBooks Online, though not always natively, and both put WhatsApp behind higher plans or a beta.
HubSpot and Xero: the Xero by HubSpot (Data Sync) app syncs contacts, products, invoices and payments; custom field mappings need Data Hub Starter.
HubSpot and QuickBooks Online: invoice-creating workflow actions need a Professional hub and are US-only.
Pipedrive and QuickBooks Online: a built-in invoicing app creates the invoice from the deal and shows when it is paid or overdue.
Pipedrive and Xero: Marketplace apps such as Xero by Cloudify create an invoice or quote when a deal reaches a chosen stage.
WhatsApp: HubSpot needs Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise; Pipedrive's integration is a Growth-and-above beta not yet available to everyone.
Fill the gaps with Make
One Make scenario covers the gaps: watch for a won deal in HubSpot or Pipedrive, create a draft invoice in Xero, then send the customer a WhatsApp utility template through Meta's WhatsApp Business Cloud. Make's free plan gives 1,000 credits a month and 2 active scenarios, enough to test it; Core is US$9 a month for 10,000 credits. Start on Make's free plan; Meta charges per delivered template on top. Not ready for a CRM yet? Google Sheets lead automation captures leads into a sheet first.
HubSpot or Pipedrive: my recommendation
3 to 10 sellers, no marketing team: Pipedrive Growth.
Small team, marketing and sales together, tight budget: HubSpot Starter while the promotion runs, budgeting US$20 a seat for year two.
10 to 30 reps needing sequences, forecasting and marketing automation: HubSpot Professional. If marketing lives elsewhere, Pipedrive Premium saves 5 reps US$3,360 in year one and US$1,860 a year after.
Already on monday.com: monday CRM Standard.
One to three people: a free plan first.
